Ready, SET, Cook! on the Oregon Coast.
On May 15, 2010 the Culinary Center in Lincoln City is hosting a competitive cooking event and fund-raiser based on the 1990s BBC show with the same name. Ready.. Set… Cook! was a cooking game show that debuted on the Food Network in the US on October 2, 1995. The show’s format was based upon the UK series Ready Steady Cook, and originally hosted by television personality Robin Young.
Chef Tre Wilcox of Loft 610-Urban Restaurant & Lounge in Plano, Texas & Bravo TV’s “Top Chef” will be battling the local Chef Justin Wills of Restaurant Beck in Depoe Bay, Oregon at our inaugral event!
Chefs will compete head to head. Each chef is given a set pantry, a mystery ingredient and a time limit. Here’s the twist: members of the audience serve as sous chefs.
Join us for a fun filled event starting with a silent auction. “You” have a chance to be part of the show; We will auction off chances for people in the audience to become sous chefs and may auction off spaces to judge the competition as well. There will be appetizers, coffee and dessert plus a no-host wine & beer bar. Admission is $50 and space is limited! To reserve your tickets call 1-800-452-2151 or visit the Lincoln City Visitor & Convention Bureau on the 4th floor of City Hall.
This event is a benefit for the North Lincoln Hospital Foundation Samaritan Early Learning Center Fund. The goal is to raise $5000+ for the center.
